On December 13, 2014 members of the Sioux City Police Department spent the day shopping for Christmas presents with 30 Sioux City kids.  This is the 12th year the Sioux City Police Department has partnered with the local WalMart stores to help make Christmas brighter for kids and their families.  WalMart donates the money, $100.00 per child and the police officers shop with the kids.  Each child spends the money on gifts for his/her family members. The gifts are then wrapped by members of the police department's VIP program.  Each kid is then surprised with a new bike and helmet, both donated by the Variety Club.  Thank you to WalMart for the generous donation!
