Pedestrian dies after being struck by car on West Side - 26SC03602

Original Release on February 10, 2026 at 2:00 AM / UPDATED at 10:16 AM - On February 9, 2026, at approximately 9:39 PM, officers were called to the 300 block of Hamilton Blvd for a vehicle vs pedestrian collision with injuries.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a 2007 Volvo SUV that had struck a 60 year old male in a wheelchair crossing the roadway.
The male was transported to a local hospital by Sioux City Fire Rescue where he was pronounced deceased.
Officers identified 60-year-old Roy A. Wolfe of Sioux City as the deceased.
At this time the investigation into the factors leading to the collision are still being investigated.
Anyone that was witness to the collision or that has video of the incident are asked to call the Sioux City Police Department with that information.
