Original Release Jan. 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm. - The Sioux City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Bacon Creek General Store on January 25, 2026, at approximately 9:53 PM.
According to preliminary reports, a light-skinned male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned male of unknown age, approximately 5'10 tall and weighing between 150 -180 lbs, wearing dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
The Sioux City Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect’s identity to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at (712) 258-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward if their information leads to an arrest.
